Skate Deck Designs

Three skull motif deck designs. I'm designing decks for my characters in sets of three just to give myself options and play with compositions, but I would really like to get into drawing up designs and painting them on blank decks. Please feel free to message me if you're interested. Anywho, more designs will be coming probably next week tho I have to do a few things before I can indulge in my development of WonderWheel.  Anywho, these are copic marker on moleskin which isn't the best surface for them, but I'm decently satisfied with the results.

Break The Limits 3 Lonewolf and Cub Round 1

My protege and I battled together this past weekend in a bboy competition called Break The Limits 3. We were extra hype and thereby sloppy, but we had a blast. Below is the link to the footage of our first round battle. I'm the first person to go out.

WonderWheel Sketch

I finally have a name for my skateboard project: WonderWheel. lol sounds kinda dumb, but I borrowed it from a really dope song that I'll link at a later time. Anywho, I just got some Copic markers courtesy of my wonderful aunt, so I figured I'd try em out. Hastily done, the character's outfits will change in the final project. The only thing I like about this is the front character's right arm lol. I don't have a lot of sketches this week because most of my time was spent working on one project that will be uploaded soon, I'm about 85% finished at this point. But yeah, WonderWheel is my baby haha so I'll be doing it justice with the next few pieces I do related to it.

Mediocre (inks)

Last week I was feeling pretty upset with the quality of my work lately. I felt, and still feel, that the Elephant Hands piece is the best thing I've done this summer and I wanted, and still want, to change that desperately. So from that desire, from that dissatisfaction in myself, I birthed this piece which I'm calling Mediocre which depicts how I felt about my work of late. I have some copic markers coming in the mail as a gift from my aunt which I will use to color this. It's one of the biggest drawings I've ever done, 14 X 34 Bristol. Anywho, these are the inks for it, they're subject to change once I throw the color on, so we'll see what happens with that. I'm pretty excited.

Also I would like to say Thank you to all you who take the time to look over my blog. I would especially like to say thank to Ricardo Alves who commented with kind words on one of my pieces. I would have simply replied to your comment, and sooner too, but for some odd reason my computer doesn't allow me to do that, so I figured I'd give you a shout out on one of my posts. Thanks again to everyone who looks at my works. Post a comment if you want to get in contact with me, I need to figure out how to add a contact info widget to my blog, but until then, feel free to lay your thoughts on me, I'm all ears and eager to learn!!

This week's SketchDump

Here's a character for an animation I'm planning to do very soon

These are random sketches from class. I drew the one with Batman on it in the morning before I saw the midnight release of the Dark Knight Rises. Great movie.  My sincere condolences to those affected by the shooting in Colorado. I pray for you and your families.
My friend's brother playing video games in green, a goofy sketch for a web comic idea my friend and I are throwing around
Here's a potential character for that web comic idea. Just playing with the copic marker and Sharpie pen combination to see what kind of potential it has. So far I like.

Ashyman WIP

A friend of mine from church is a fairly decent up and coming rapper, in time I'm sure he'll be household name haha. but for serious, he's got some skill, give him a listen, He's called

Ashyman, <<this is a link to his soundcloud page.

He asked me to draw a cover for him and I was like yeah sure. So this is a WIP that I need to finish by Sunday. I'll upload the finished product as well.

Class Notes

I take extensive notes in English class, I thought you all might like to see what I've learned thus far

This Week's SketchDump

Blergity Blergen I was productive this week, but I haven't made anything awesome in a while. I hope to change that this weekend. Anywho, These are drawings of my friend who was kind enough to take time out of her night to model for me.

And this last one is some random sketches for a web comic my friend and I are in the process of coming up with haha

These are two gross paintings I did. Experimenting with the color and technique is my excuse iGuess ho humm

Bookmark Painting

I was recently inspired by a phenomenal painter by the name of Ashley Wood to do a series of Acrylic Paintings that would experiment with color and brushes as well as what I do the drawings on. Needless to say I am very excited to see what new creations will come of this new change of direction. Dear Ashley, if you read this, know that you're fantastic, thanks for the inspiration and please keep drawing and painting.

Samurai Ink Sketch

This is a few days old, just trying to get better at my inking while covering a broader range or subjects. I don't like that much, I wasn't gonna upload it, but I haven't done anything worth anything all week with the slight exception of this.
